10 years together

Back about 10 years ago (on March 8, 2002), the band (then known as the Kwait Brothers Band) played one of its very first shows at a new but soon-to-be-legendary club called The Fire.  A few months later, the band was invited back to play a month-long Tuesday night residency.  We learned a lot from the experience including what not to drink before a show and how painful Wednesday mornings could be.  The band  returns to the scene of the crime next Saturday March 10th to commemorate in our own small way a decade of music and laughs and not killing eachother.....Not a small achievement, when we think of the many bands we've played with over the years who are no longer together.   One band that is together and playing awesome music is the 9's, whom we've invited to play with us.  If you feel like hearing some cool live music in an old school Philly tavern/venue on the edge of Northern Liberties, stop by (and tell a few friends about it).  We hope to see you there (Saturday Night March 10, 2012).

CD RELEASE - BENEFIT SHOW AT MILKBOY- PHILADELPHIA

The band is pleased to announce a very special CD Release – Benefit Show at the NEW MILKBOY – Philadelphia on FRIDAY NOVEMBER 11th (11/11/11).    The band's proceeds from the show (including 100% of the CD sales proceeds), will go to Alex’s Lemonade Stand foundation - a leading organization in the fight against Childhood Cancer (a cause near and dear to the band members - who have a little one fighting neuroblastoma cancer).  [You may also donate directly to Alex’s Lemonade in support of this event].

On the heels of our Bucks County release show in September and our Wooden Boat Festival jam show on the Delaware in October, the band is sounding better than ever.  Come check it out and support a great cause!    Also, check out some recent reviews of the new record

Wildy's World - Review

A pretty thoughtful review of the latest record..... "Twin brothers Rich and Rob Kwait found their muse in Mountain Cabins from Vermont to Tennessee in the late 1990's, taking in the grit and stubborn beauty of Americana and Appalachian folk from its homeland. The Philadelphia natives would return home, under the name The Kwait Brothers would begin to find a sound that incorporates these styles into a sub-stream blend of folk/rock that is as close to original as anything in the public marketplace.....

High Five!

Rich and Rob were recently asked to name their top 5 things ..... So simple yet maddening...easy yet complex...fair yet totally unfair. We should have asked Cenzi... oh well. Check out the article.
